An e-mail alias is an e-mail that shares a mailbox with a completely different email. For example, you could have email@example.com as well as firstname.lastname@example.org and messages sent to both of them will be received in a single mailbox. This option will make it much easier and more convenient to manage many different addresses as you will have to log in to one mailbox if you use webmail or configure one single e-mail address in an e-mail application on your desktop. When you set up an alias, you won't just have the ability to get messages, but you will also be able to send out messages from the various addresses and they will share the Outbox, so you'll have all communication in a single place. Implementing aliases can be an alternative option to working with different mailboxes for several purposes or forwarding a single e mail address to another to be able to handle the emails of both in a single place.
